Dr. Jacky Chan, C.Psych. (he/him; CPO# 7388) received his PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa. He completed his Pre-Doctoral Clinical Psychology Residency at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. His primary approach to therapy is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and he integrates Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) interventions when needed. Dr. Chan has competency in working with adults facing a variety of challenges, and his practice has been more focused on working with individuals with concurrent mental health and substance use disorders, trauma-related disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, and disordered eating challenges. He also has a special interest in working with clients from diverse communities (e.g., immigrants and refugees, members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community).
