Meggan Porteous, B.A. (Hons), is a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa, studying depression and insomnia. As a practicum student at the OICBT, she provides individual therapy services to adults under the supervision of Dr. Ryan Ferguson (Supervised Practice). Meggan's approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. She creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. By employing integrative evidence-based techniques and personalized strategies, Meggan empowers her clients to overcome obstacles, develop coping skills, and achieve their goals. She has experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (skin-picking, hair-pulling), life transitions/interpersonal difficulties, sleep difficulties, and depression. She also has experience collaborating with individuals across the neurodiversity spectrum. Meggan can offer tele-therapy services in French or English.
