ADHD Assessment and Therapy
ADHD often involves persistent difficulties with attention, organization, impulse control and self-regulation that can affect work, school, relationships and daily functioning. OICBT support for ADHD can include comprehensive adult ADHD assessment, treatment-focused therapy and group skills programming. The adult assessment pathway is designed to clarify diagnosis for medication consultation, treatment planning, insurance or accommodation purposes. ADHD group programming focuses on practical skills for organization, prioritization, distractibility, procrastination, interpersonal skills, emotion regulation and mindfulness.
- Assessment reviews history, current symptoms, cognitive functioning and impairment.
- Feedback, reporting and treatment recommendations are part of the assessment pathway.
- Where appropriate, a psychoeducational component can be added for possible learning-disability concerns.
