Ryan Pecore
Practicum Student; Clinical Psychology
Ryan Pecore is in the fourth year of the doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa. At OICBT, Ryan is completing his training at the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (OICBT) as a Practicum Student, Clinical Psychology, under the supervision of Dr. Kimberly Turner (Supervised Practice) and Dr. Kyle Lemay, and is part of OICBT’s Intensive Assessment Program. Ryan aims to provide an empathic and warm environment where clients can gain a richer understanding their difficulties and gain greater self-compassion in order to foster change. Ryan believes that the foundation of good therapy is a deep understanding of clients’ difficulties and life history. Drawing on his training in CBT, EFT, and Psychodynamic therapies, he strives to provide treatments that are tailored to each clients’ unique needs. Ryan also has training in psychodiagnostics assessments, including ADHD assessment. Ryan’s research is focused on the relationship between interpersonal trauma, mindfulness, self-compassion, and health outcomes in individuals with endometriosis.
Ryan provides both in-person and virtual services.
