Dr. Kathryn Sexton is a Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years of experience with cognitive behavioural therapy in private practice. She works with adults, children, and adolescents. Her areas of focus are in the assessment and cognitive behavioural treatment of worry/generalized anxiety, health anxiety, insomnia, and chronic stress related to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or immune-mediated inflammatory diseases such as MS, RA, and IBD. She also treats depression/mood disorders, panic/agoraphobia, social anxiety, PTSD/trauma-related anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, sleep difficulties, chronic pain, and adjustment to acute and chronic medical problems. Dr. Sexton is dedicated to helping you deepen understanding and self-acceptance, re-engage in meaningful values-based actions and activities, move through challenging life events with resilience, and build social connections. She hopes to create a warm empathic space for genuine curiosity and self-compassion to overcome pain, loss, and anxiety, find practical solutions to current challenges, and explore a wholehearted future.
