Dana Strauss

Practicum Student; Clinical Psychology

Dana Strauss is a practicum student at the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (OICBT). Dana is committed to providing evidence-based care and using an integrative approach to best meet her client’s needs. She is working in the Mood and Anxiety program where she works under the supervision of Dr. Ken Kelly-Turner, a registered clinical psychologist in Supervised Practice (supervised by Dr. François Rousseau) at OICBT.

Dana uses a client-centered approach, meaning that sessions are structured around the client’s goals and needs. She believes a strong therapeutic alliance is necessary for meaningful growth, and she prioritizes creating a non-judgemental environment where clients can feel heard, valued, respected, and supported.

In addition to her clinical work, Dana is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa, where she researches antisemitism.

Dana offers both in-person and online therapy sessions.
