Cody Cane

Resident; Clinical Psychology

Cody Cane, M.A., is a Ph.D. candidate in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Toronto Scarborough. He is currently a Clinical Psychology Resident completing an external rotation at the OICBT as part of his placement with the Centre for Psychological Services and Research (CPSR) at the University of Ottawa. While at OICBT, Cody is supervised by Dr. Kiran Vadaga, C.Psych. Cody’s doctoral research focuses on investigating neural correlates of psychopathology and on statistical modeling of psychopathology. 

Cody has worked with clients who have faced a range of concerns including anxiety, mood, OCD, ADHD, trauma, body-focused repetitive behaviours, work and life stress, interpersonal struggles, life transitions, and other general struggles in navigating life. He has previously trained at the University of Toronto Scarborough’s Health and Wellness Centre, Forward Thinking Psychological Services, and the Toronto Psychology & Wellness Group. Throughout his training he has provided a range of intervention and assessment services.  

Cody primarily uses a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) base for therapy, while also integrating other case-by-case relevant skills from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Cody offers individual therapy for adults at OICBT.]
