Everyone deserves someone who listens without judgment. Our child / youth individual therapy offers a safe, confidential space for young people to explore their thoughts, work through challenges, and build emotional strength. At OICBT, our compassionate therapists specialize in supporting children and youth through life’s ups and downs.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just need someone to talk to, we’re here to help. You don’t have to go through it alone—let’s take the next step together.
Therapy provides a confidential, judgment-free space where young people can express themselves freely, explore their feelings, and feel genuinely supported and understood.
Youth learn practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, and tough emotions—building resilience, self-esteem, and the confidence to face challenges both now and in the future.
Every young person is different. Our therapists personalize support to match each individual’s unique needs, goals, and pace—creating a path that feels right for them.
Choosing to begin treatment is an important decision. At OICBT, we understand how essential it is to find the right treatment provider to help you and your family reach your goals. All of our clinicians provide evidence-based services to help you and your family benefit as much as possible from your chosen intervention. We feel this is essential in order to give your child the best chance of success.
We provide evidence-based mental health treatment for children / youth (ages 12-18)* facing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges. This service is designed for young people who may be experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, family conflict, academic difficulties, or challenges with self-esteem and relationships. Support is also available for parents and caregivers through consultation sessions that focus on enhancing the family’s ability to support the youth’s progress.
Individual therapy sessions are typically offered on a weekly or biweekly basis, with session frequency and duration tailored to the youth’s needs and goals. Treatment is grounded in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and guided by individualized treatment plans developed collaboratively between the clinician, the youth, and their family. Coaching sessions are also available, providing practical, goal-oriented support to help youth apply therapeutic strategies in their daily lives—particularly in areas like school performance, organization, and motivation.
Our treatment team includes registered psychologists and registered psychologists under supervised practice with specialized training and experience in youth mental health. Depending on the individual’s needs, clients may work with one or more clinicians throughout their care.
Therapy and consultation sessions are available in both in-person and virtual formats, offering flexibility and accessibility to meet families where they are.

We understand that finding a good fit between a therapist and your child can feel overwhelming. See below for the most frequently asked questions.
Unfortunately, we are unable to treat children/youth with autism, eating disorders, severe substance use problems, conduct disorder; and/or oppositional defiant disorder.
We recognize that parents and caregivers play an important role in a youth’s mental health. Your level of involvement will depend on your child’s age, preferences, and treatment goals. For younger youth, parent consultation sessions may be included regularly to support progress at home and school. For older youth and teens, we prioritize their autonomy and confidentiality, while still encouraging open communication and collaborative involvement when appropriate. Our clinicians will work with you and your child to find the right balance of involvement to best support their treatment and overall well-being.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer assessments to clients with suspected or confirmed autism. In these cases, we would be happy to help redirect you to community providers that specialize in this area to ensure your child receives the most appropriate and effective care.
If your child has experienced a concussion within the past six months or is currently experiencing ongoing symptoms related to a past concussion, we recommend seeking care from a neuropsychologist. At this time, OICBT is not able to provide treatment for clients with a history of traumatic brain injury (TBI), including concussions with lasting effects. In these cases, we would be happy to help redirect you to a neuropsychologist who specializes in this area to ensure your child receives the most appropriate and effective care.
Current prices for all our clinical services, including this assessment are listed on our Current Fees page.

When completing assessment or treatment sessions that include you in the session, the session can be invoiced as a family session supporting your child and submitted for reimbursement.
Unfortunately, we don’t offer custody and access assessments at our clinic. If you’re looking for a custody and access assessment, it’s best to connect with a professional who specializes in family court services. If you’d like, we can help point you in the right direction with a few suggestions!
