Nick Schubert is a CBT therapist at the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, working under the supervision of Dr. Mandisa Peterson, C.Psych. Nick completed his doctoral training in Fall 2025 and is currently in the process of applying for registration for supervised practice with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). He provides individual therapy and psychological assessment services to adults aged 18 to 65.
Nick’s therapeutic style is warm, relaxed and collaborative. He works with clients to understand their concerns and identify what matters most to them, keeping these at the centre of the therapy. Drawing on cognitive-behavioural and related therapies, he helps clients develop and apply practical strategies for making positive and lasting life changes.
Nick primarily uses Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy in his work with clients and also integrates Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to best fit client needs.
