Paula Voigt has been working as an Occupational Therapist since 2014, having received her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University. Since then Paula has worked in the area of outpatient and community-based mental health within a variety of settings. Namely, Paula has worked on an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, providing community-based supports to clients with serious mental illness. Additionally, Paula has worked at a mental health hospital within the Forensic Outpatient Services program providing services to clients deemed not criminally responsible. Since joining the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (OICBT) Paula has been involved in the Home and Community program, OCD clinic and conducting intake assessments for new referrals. As an OT working at the OICBT, Paula utilizes a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework to support clients to improve their functioning in the community.
