Note: This course is for health professionals only. Also, the start date for this course was initially advertised as May 4 but has been postponed to May 11.
Level II of our intermediate level training seminar is focused on practicing the use of core CBT skills. These experiential-based training seminars will include facilitator demonstration, role-playing and homework-based assignments to consolidate learning of core CBT skills. Participants will be asked to use the CBT skills reviewed during the seminars to work on their own individual goals and to apply these skills in their work with their clients. Particular CBT skills will include case conceptualisation, cognitive restructuring, behavioural activation and exposure-based treatment. Sessions will last 3 hours (Fridays from 9:00am to 12:00pm) and will start on May 11, 2018.
What Participants Will Learn
- Development of case conceptualization and specific treatment plans
- Implementation of behavioural and cognitive strategies
- The use of various types of exposure strategies and imagery
